The latest  newsletter from Janine Marsh, the editor of The Good Life France magazine has arrived.

The Arts of France of France attracted my attention.  I knew there were at least  seven categories in the official classification of the arts in France – the 7th art is one of my favourites.  I was surprised to learn there are ten ! The Arts of France are not just paintings and sculptures. Janine provides the official and surprising classification list and includes snippets of info on them all.

For visitors to the capital, she recommends a visit to The Petit Palais Museum in Paris  but if you want to visit further afield, she also has a number of Best Day Trips from Paris

The Dover Calais Day trip is for those in England who can only manage a quick trip across la Manche.

For the foodies who like to cook, there is a recipe for a Tarte aux Fraises.
