Synopsis :  Joyeux Noël  (2005) (Merry Christmas)

Joyeux Noël (2005) is a moving and inspiring French war drama based on the extraordinary true events of Christmas Eve 1914, during the First World War.

On the Western Front, as French, Scottish and German soldiers face each other in the trenches, an unexpected event brings them together. On Christmas Eve, soldiers from both sides put down their weapons, step out of their trenches and share a moment of peace, friendship and humanity amid the horrors of war.

A powerful story of compassion, hope and the human spirit, Joyeux Noël reminds us that even in the darkest of times, humanity can overcome division.

Step into a remarkable chapter of history with Joyeux Noël, an unforgettable French film that celebrates peace, courage and our shared humanity.  A deeply moving film that will stay with you long after the final scene.
The film is in French but sub-titled in English.
