This s not an impossible dream.
Let me introduce Boris Joffo, an interior designer and renovator specializing in French antiques, custom design and Art Deco-inspired spaces,and his wife Susan, a writer and musician. During this, their first year in Tauranga, they have spent time and energy channelling their wide experience, knowledge, and talent into renovating their home and creating  un petit musée de France chez eux.

Let Boris now introduce their exciting new project :  Le Royaume de France.

I would like to introduce a new, playful arts and culture project: a chance to travel to France for an afternoon through distinctive objects, the stories they hold and the craftsmanship that brought them to life.

At Le Royaume de France, we hope to bring together French speakers, Francophiles and families from every cultural background for a welcoming afternoon in a private home in Bethlehem. Three hours to discover, wonder, enjoy music and get to know one another.

Bring your curiosity and your love of conversation. Discovering art can be as simple as sharing  a moment together.

An evocation of Art Deco elegance

An hour of piano and French songs will bring the warmth of a music salon to the afternoon. A lively, approachable talk will introduce the objects and their stories, with time for questions, anecdotes and conversation.

Our journey will also take us to the châteaux of the Loire Valley, their interiors and the French art of living. For those dreaming of a longer adventure, there will be an opportunity to talk about moving to France, property and the first questions to explore before making a home there.
