François Decoster, the new Ambassador of France to NZ
François Decoster, the new Ambassador of France to New Zealand, took office on 9 September 2026.
He has had a busy first few days:
He presented his credentials to the Governor General,Dame Cindy Kiro.
He had several diplomatic and strategic meetings with various ministers.
He laid wreaths for fallen soldiers.
He attended the opening of the brand new Auckland City Rail Link – 126 years after the Paris metro opened
And it continues.
To celebrate the European Heritage Days, this Saturday, 19 September, Ambassador François Decoster will open the doors to the Residence of France in Wellington to all those curious about this little slice of France in Aotearoa.
